The Los Angeles Lakers and the league continue to keep everyone’s eye on the largely free administration department in Brooklyn.
However, just because nothing really happened with Kevin Durant and Carrie Irving doesn’t mean there aren’t new developments around the business discussions around each superstar.
Here’s the latest headlines and rumors about the Lakers ’pursuit to bring Kerry to Los Angeles:
Kerry Irving seems to be a liar
Although talks between the Lakers and the Nets have stalled as a third party such as Spurs may need to be involved, all rumors still point to Kerry, who eventually joined the Lakers with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Comes together.
And although that hasn’t really happened yet, it looks like a close trade has been made in the 4th week of July – if reports. Of SNY Ian Begley must be trusted.
Here is what he said at the time of joining Bleacher Report Jack Fisher’s “Please don’t do all this” (my insistence) in a section of Colin’s:
“I know some people with Lakers, They felt There was a great move last weekend at Russell Westbrook and Kerry to get something to the finish line near the finish line.. And obviously, it’s falling apart and maybe it’s related to what the nets ultimately want out of this deal. But it only shows you how many different pieces need to be placed here to really do something.
Normally, the doubt may be resolved if the teams fail to make a deal a week passes, but the Lakers still seem to be in the driver’s seat to get Kerry Irving given the fact that That by all accounts they are still the only interested party.
Here’s what the newly mentioned, potential scientist Brian Wendurst said yesterday ESPN The recent reports of the 76ers or Mavericks “getting up” are likely to be joined by the Lakers as lawyers for Kerry’s business (h / t to our friends). Net every day For duplicate):
“We’ve heard a lot more over the past week about teams that aren’t interested in Kerry than teams that are interested,” he said. “There are some reports that maybe Philly, maybe Dallas, and these teams are backing away quickly. ‘No, no, no. We don’t want that.’
“So if you’re a Lakers, I say, ‘Who are we bidding against? Why should we include these things? Who are we bidding against? Why shouldn’t we protect these choices? Do you have another offer?’ Should we change our position? ‘ And that’s the position the Lakers take.
All the rumors that are now circulating seem to be kept out of the details of a deal, not the principal. Maybe the Nets would be better off taking a third team with Westbrook, or they simply aren’t ready to move Kerry until they solve their Kevin Durant problem (more on that later).
However, it seems very certain: Kerry Irving, LeBron James, and the Lakers want this to happen.
In the same episode of “Wake Up”, Windstorm provided the following description (for transcript h / t RealGM):
“Carrie Irving Absolutely Wants to be a Los Angeles Lakers, ”said Brian Wendurst.“ That’s what we know. Lakers want Kerry Irving.
Somewhat credible to this view is the fact that Kerry sure now spends a lot of time in Los Angeles. He appeared at the BET Awards a week ago, LA Times Reporter Brad Turner pointed to Mark Stein’s Spotify live session where he recently played pick-up games with other NBA players in town, and he made a public appearance at last night’s LA Sparks game (pictured below).

This could be another case of an NBA player spending his season in the English city of Lemar … or … he could spend his time there as long as the business is official and he could make a short trip to the Lakers. . Facilities for his inaugural press conference. Personally, without any prejudice, I would do it To choose Believe it or not.
LeBron James hates draft picks
Even before the business prospect for Kerry Irving was presented to the Lakers, it was reported that the team was refraining from coughing into the draft compensation for the release of Russell Westbrook. That remains to be seen, but, to the surprise of no one, there is one man in the Lakers who doesn’t think of parting ways with the other first-round picks: LeBron James.
Brian Wendurst said it was a “wake-up call” about the King’s lack of interest in protecting the Lakers’ future fortunes (h / t Jonathan Sherman and Lakers Daily):
“I can’t say how much LeBron cares about the Lakers’ first-round pick in 2029,” he said, jokingly joking with his fellow pundits. “He never cares about first-round draft picks. He doesn’t care about first-round draft picks when they’re on the team. He wants to win tonight, and Kerry Irving gives him a chance tonight.
Like I said, this isn’t really breaking news. LeBron James will not be the only Lakers in the NBA in 2029 (but he is not really a cyborg). Why would he worry about the future costs of the championship right now? He will Continue to live by Los Angeles Rams General Manager Les Snyder When it comes to the value of first-round draft options.
Kevin Durant’s business is likely to precede Kerry Irving’s business
While Ian Beagle was speaking to Jack Fisher today, he made the following remarks about the business time of theoretical Kevin Durant and Kerry Irving:
“I think, and Jack, I don’t know where you’re standing in this, but … there’s no world where Kerry Irving is dealing with before Kevin Durant …”
It seems to be a popular view among reporters to cover the situation, with LA Times’ Broad Turner referring to it while in one of Mark Stein’s Spotify live episodes (Mine Emphasis):
“I think at some point before we get to camp, Kerry is playing for the Lakers. How it works, how they do it, (I don’t know). The writers just have to be patient. Because of everything I’ve read and what I’ve been told, Jal won’t do anything about Kerry until they trade Kevin Durant. And once that happens, they’re eager to get involved with the Lakers or any other group that wants to get him.
This suggests, despite the fact that a third team may end up getting involved, that it may be some time before the deal is done.
So his “Carrie Irving is a Laker!” The parties are considering for now that the deal is complete, may not reach a conclusion until we get a little deeper into the summer.
